Candidates step forward for North Thompson Fall Fair

The North Thompson Fall Fair and Rodeo Association’s Ambassador Candidate Program officialy got underway for 2017 on Apr. 3 at the Barriere Lions Hall with the annual Banner Night introduction of new candidates.  Ward Stamer was the master of ceremonies and thanked Ambassador Committee chair Laura Mairs and her volunteers for all they do.  Gary Pfiefer provided the sound, music and auctioneering for the Apron Auction held after the intermission.

The new candidates for the 2017 program are Emma Hamblin, sponsored by Insight Tire;  and Payden Irving, sponsored by Barriere IDA Pharmacy.  2016/2017 reigning Ambassador Sarah Sabyan, and Vice-Ambassador Gerri-Lee Genier presented the new candidates with their banners and tiaras, and then joined them in modeling aprons made by the four young ladies and offered at auction to help fund the program expenses.  In total $630 was raised.
