Graduating students invite the public to attend ceremony

The Barriere Secondary School graduating class of 2017 is about to walk across the stage to receive their diploma.  All the years of hard work are paying off as these young people prepare to take a major step out into the world.

The graduating class of 2017 are extending an invitation to members of the public to come out and help them celebrate this momentous occasion with family and friends.

The Commencement Ceremonies will be taking place on Friday, May 26, 6:00 p.m. at the Barriere Curling Rink on Dunn Lake Road.

Come and watch the grads in their caps and gowns as the ceremony presents congratulatory speeches, the Valedictorian’s speech and the bursary and scholarship presentations.  The graduates will receive their diplomas and will then truly be ready to step into the future they have prepared for.

On the following day, Saturday, May 27, at 5:00 p.m., The Grande March of the graduating class will be taking place  at the Bandshell in Fadear Park.

Everyone is invited to come out and see the Barriere Secondary School Graduating Class of 2017 in their finery in a short parade before they proceed to the Barriere Curling Rink where a dinner and Dry Grad Dance with parents and invited guests will start at 6:00 p.m.
