On  Apr. 26 grade 11 and 12 students at Barriere Secondary participated in a presentation from Interior Savings Insurance regarding ICBC presentations and automobile insurance coverages.

Interior Savings staff members who facilitated the presentation  included Jessica Watson, Samantha Fennell (not in photos) and Tyra Rusheinski.

BSS says they thoroughly enjoyed having the presentation back again this year and they appreciated principal Ken Rife for making it happen.

The facilitators highlighted the importance of drivers knowing the areas of coverage and the necessities of keeping it current.

“Always talk to your local broker if you have questions and never think it’s a stupid question!”

Facilitators also brought in games and the drunk goggles from ICBC, which reportedly were a real hit with the students.

“We wanted to make this session more interactive this year, and hopefully we can build on our presentation yearly,” said one of the insurance reps.

Holly Fenrick, manager of the Barriere Branch organized the seminar which was reported as “both very informative and fun for the students”.

Students commented that they found the information about new driving coverage and new additional ICBC insurance available to be very valuable.

Congratulations to grade 12 student, Lee Dionne who won the prize donated by ICBC and Interior Savings Insurance.
